Charity Begins At ……. Lymington!

Lee Marsh, Operations Manager at J M Scully is about to embark on a round trip of the UK to raise money for two charities and explains more below, if you would like to donate or see their progress then please click the link below;

Our challenge is to ride approx. 4000 miles around the coastline of the UK on 30+ year old 125cc motorbikes that have been converted to Café Racers, this will take about 2 weeks to complete, to add to the challenge we will be camping on the trip as well.  We will have a support vehicle carrying spares, camping gear etc.  The reason for the trip is to raise money for two charities, The Stroke Association and SANDs (Stillborn and Neo-Natal Death charity) monies raised will be split between the charities.

We recently had a meeting with Mark Knopfler and John Illsley from Dire Straits at The East End Arms near Lymington, we had a great chat with them about the bikes and the ride and they gave us some good advice as well as signing some T-shirts for us that we hope to auction off to raise funds.  The connection with Dire Straits came about because we found out that before they were called Dire Straits, they did a gig as ‘The Café Racers’.
