Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Introduction

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the process of assessing an organisation’s impact on society and evaluating it’s responsibilities around a number of fundamental elements.

Here at J M Scully we take our commitment to CSR seriously and have implemented a CSR Policy and strategy that is structured around a platform of four key measurable areas.

  • Marketplace
  • Environment
  • Community
  • Workplace

Our CSR Policy is built off a platform containing these four key areas and within each are contained a subset of specific items around which we have developed systems and procedures to ensure implementation, impact and measurement can be achieved.

Successful CSR initiatives take organisations beyond compliance with legislation and lead them to honour ethical values and respect for people, communities and the natural environment. CSR is sustainable – involving activities that our organisation can maintain without adversely affecting our overall business goals.

We see our approach to CSR as an opportunity to generate honest, authentic good-news stories that our business and wider community can be proud of. See below some of the more recent elements that demonstrate our commitment to CSR. We would be happy to talk in more detail about any of these upon request.
